Interpreting service
At ATLS, we have native translators and interpreters who are ready to help you communicate in any language in meetings, visits, fairs, conferences and events.
We have native interpreters in all the main languages. Simultaneous and consecutive interpreting.
Simultaneous interpreting
In simultaneous interpreting (also known as simultaneous translation), the interpreter – usually located in a booth – reproduces the message in the target language at the same time the speaker is talking. Due to its demanding nature, at least two interpreters per language pair are required for events lasting more than half an hour, alternating every 15-20 minutes to avoid mental fatigue and interpretation errors. This allows the public to hear the speech in real time. Simultaneous interpreting is available in almost every language, and is commonly used in business and corporate events, conferences and training courses.
Consecutive interpreting
In consecutive interpreting, the message is communicated once the speaker has finished talking. While the speaker is talking, the interpreter takes notes (the technique depends on each professional) and, once the speech is completed, the interpreter reproduces the message with the help of their notes. These speeches do not usually exceed 20 minutes in total.
